On the building’s façade, over the entrance gate, is carved the ruler’s tughra (monogram) of the Ottoman Sultan Abdul Hamid II, during whose rule the mosque was built.

  • The museum is open to the public during full operating hours, Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays between 10:00 - 16:00, Wednesdays 19: 00-12:00, Fridays 8:30 - 11:00 and Saturdays between 14:00-10:00, the museum takes part in the Israeli Shabbat project and open to the public free of charge on Fridays and Saturdays »
